Podcast vs. Paper
Hey guys! This is another blog post relating to the post I previously had about my podcast project. Today I want to explore the differences from a paper to a podcast. As you have read, I have never done a podcast before in my life but finally completed one for the first time ever! The podcast varied from a paper in many ways. To begin with, creating a podcast took group effort which is never seen with a paper. Also, creating a podcast took a lot of human interaction and the idea of talking casually rather than formally. A podcast is speaking rather than writing and I found this powerful because the tone of someone's voice speaks louder than words on paper. For me personally, hearing someone speak with emotion allows me to relate more than just reading the words with no context. I also feel like allowing my tone of voice allows the audience to hear how much this podcast impacts my life. This can not be determined in a regular paper because the emotions are not truly there, in a podcast, the emotions are there so the audience can tell it is real rather than some made up text put on a paper. Overall, this project was very challenging to me because of the fact it took a lot more points of view into consideration than a regular paper would but also was more rewarding to me because from listening I felt like I connected more to my fellow peers presentations and hope that they had the same feeling as I did.
